Each year, Kester Elementary holds a book fair to help raise money for the Scholastic News program for all grades. All in-person purchases support our school and earn 50% in rewards. All online purchases support our school and earn 25% in rewards. This year’s fair will be held from March 4th - March 8th, 2024. Online sales continue through March 17th.
The “The Greatest Book Fair on Earth” circus-themed book fair will be held in the Kester library. Students will visit the book fair during recess and lunch all week. Parents are encouraged to set up an eWallet for their student that allows a predetermined balance of funds to be spent like cash at the fair. The cashier will also have access to the eWallet to complete the purchase. Parents can choose to send money with students as well, but please make sure it is secured in their backpack to help prevent loss or theft.
Open Now: Setup your eWallet account for convenient shopping. Create an account, add funds (you can also share your link with family and friends to add funds), and shop the fair between March 4th-8th. It's that easy! Any unused funds stay on your eWallet and can be used to shop online or at the next book fair.
Shopping at our fair doesn't start until March 4th, but you can preview the fair to help you make a wish list and budget your eWallet today!
STUDENTS: Students will create wish lists on Feb 29th or Mar 1st as they visit the pre-fair as a class.
TEACHERS: Teachers will create an eWallet account to be sent out by room parents. Donations are 100% optional, but it will give teachers the opportunity to shop the book fair for their classroom, either in person or online. QR codes to the teachers’ eWallets will also be posted at the fair for parents to donate on-site.
March 4-8th: Our students will have the opportunity to shop the fair during recess and lunch periods. Parents can come on campus to shop the fair after school until 3pm March 4, 5, 7, & 8.

*All time slots during school hours need to be filled by approved on campus volunteers. If you are NOT an approved on-campus volunteer please ONLY sign up for the after school time slots.
The book fair runs during the week of parent conferences. School gets out every day at 1:50pm except for Tuesday, Mar 5th which is the usual 1:25pm dismissal and the fair will be open until 3pm.
During the Book Fair students will have the opportunity to “Round Up” their total purchase to the nearest dollar amount for "Share the Fair". The students who “Round Up” will receive a choice of bookmark, sticker or pencil.
Every penny of this extra money goes directly to a Kester fund to purchase books for students in need (here at Kester) and also purchase new books for the library. Please discuss the “Rounding Up” concept with your student and how it benefits our Kester community.

On Wed, Mar 6th, the book fair will be open all day until 6pm. Come and be a part of this amazing event in the Kester Library.
